Happy Thanksgiving 2010
We drove up to Maine for Thanksgiving this year. Nia had a great time. She cut down a little Christmas tree, played with the neighbors dog, and checked out the Maine lobsters.

Video - Getting excited for the NYC Marathon - November 7
We went into the city to watch the NYC marathon. Before we braved the crowds, we stopped for some caffeine (pumpkin latte) and some sugar (cinnamon roll). Nia was excited and was dancing in her chair.

Halloween Parade - October 31
The town of Irvington sponsors a Halloween Parade, which is more of march, because no one is actually watching the parade, everyone is marching in it. It ends at the school and there are goody bags for all the kids and a band. All around good family fun. Nia dressed up in her butterfly fairy costume and had a great time in the parade, eating goodies, and dancing to the band. She and Daddy thought it was a very tiring day!

Pumpkin Fair - October 30
We went to the Pumpkin Fair in Dobbs Ferry. Nia had a great time! She went to the petting zoo, had her first pony ride, and played on the jungle gym.
Scarecrow Invasion - October 24
We walked down the Aquaduct path to a historic masion called Lyndhurst, where the town of Tarrytown puts on the Scarecrow Invasion. There are over 500 scarecrows there through the month of October. Nia loved running down the path, then checking out all the scarecrows. She kept saying, "What dis guy" then "who dis guy?" ...500 times...
Daddy runs a 10k - October 23
Daddy ran the Sleepy Hollow 10k this morning and Nia and Sadie and Mommy played at the park and watched him run by. It was a tough route with lots of hills, but Daddy still managed to run a pretty quick race - averaging 7:39 minute miles.

Halloween Party - October 22
Nia is dressed up like a butterfly this year and we went to a party at the church. Nia isn't too sure about the costume idea, but she does like the candy!
Visit to Pepsi - October 20
We went to Pepsi to visit Daddy for lunch. The campus has a sculpture garden, walking paths, and a koi pond. Nia enjoyed running all over the place!

Nana and Grandfather Vist - October 10
Nana and Grandfather drove down from Maine to help us unpack in our new place in Irvington, NY. They were a big help unpacking boxes and playing, and reading bedtime stories.

Nia is enjoying unpacking - it's like Christmas in October. Here she found a couple of her old favorite toys.
Nia goes to the salon - October 10
Nia went to a real hair salon especially for kids and got her haircut. She has a "pixie" hairdo now and she looks so pretty! She was a little scared at first, but after the hairdresser gave her a lollipop, she felt better.

Train to NY - Visit with Fiordalisos - September 25
We took the train into NYC to visit with Joe, Hannah, Camilla (5), and Rose (2 1/2). Nia had a great time playing!

Central Park Zoo - September 15
We ventured into the city and Nia had a great time at the Central Park Zoo - they have a petting zoo too, and just like in Minnesota, she loved feeding the goats!
